Aaron Wilson of ProFootball.Scout.com reports the Falcons filled their fullback void by signing Mike Cox, a transaction prompted by Pro-Bowl fullback Ovie Mughelli being placed on injured reseve with a knee injury.
They conducted an extensive tryout, workout out 10 players, including Cox, according to a league source.
They also worked out fullbacks Lousaka Polite, Jason McKie, Mike Karney and running backs Dimitri Nance and Verron Haynes.
In addition, they worked out offensive linemen Kirk Chambers, Dennis Landolt, Kenny Wiggins and Kyle Jolly.
